This well of blessing represents Jacob’s well, where a woman met Jesus on his way to Galilee. Jacob’s well, like our well at Nevada City First Baptist Church, is at an historically significant site.

Throughout the ages, Jacob’s well remained through cultural changes and various ownership because it was an eternal gift from the Creator of all.

As you look upon this symbolic well, The Women at the Well, a gathering of 12 women who conceived the idea in 2016, encourages you to see it as a symbol of hope in this sometimes dry and thirsty land. We hope you visit the well often to receive a little inspiration.
