International Ministries

We channel most of our missionary giving through the American Baptist Churches of the USA, which supports an extensive missions program both in the US and overseas.

We're very proud of our International Ministries and their approach to missions, which seeks to cooperate with local churches, train national workers, and then release control of the mission when the local leadership has been equipped. Our missionaries work as colleagues of our brothers and sisters, not as their superiors.

 

Missions Offerings

 

Also take four offerings each year to provide help beyond our congregation.

 

• America For Christ helps ministry within the United States and Puerto Rico through National Ministries, including church planting, community centers, ministry to Native Americans, etc.

 

• One Great Hour Of Sharing helps with emergency need around the world. Since we cooperate with Church World Service, we can get funds to troubled spots, even if our own missionaries aren't working there, at very low cost.

 

• Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering provides assistance to our retired ministers and missionaries who may be undergoing special difficulties.

 

• World Missions Offering goes to our overseas missions through International Ministries.
